This contemporary performance piece was created by The Restaged Histories Project and presented as a showing at the Brisbane Powerhouse in late 2008.

Last Days of the New Theatricals was largely devised and structured by an ensemble with key scenes contributed by Mellor.

It reimagines the legend of Romulus and Remus and the founding of Rome in a run-down, un-serviced bordello in the Australian outback, overseen by an alcoholic she-wolf who specialises in vaudeville.
